Action Alerts

The Chancellor’s Office has made important progress by issuing a memo that allows flexibility in STEM preparatory pathways, responding to concerns about eliminating precalculus and trigonometry. However, opposition from special interest groups could block this critical reform. The new guidance ensures access to one or two-semester sequences prior to calculus for students without high school STEM preparation, promoting greater equity and access in STEM fields.
