FACCC PAC Student Coordinator

Jacob Roe (He/Him/His) is a driven first-generation, second-year community college student at Sierra College, majoring in Political Science. Within the college, Jacob is involved in various spaces, working across three departments and serving on five participatory governance committees, including the Academic and Classified Senates of Sierra College. He takes on leadership roles as the Native American Student Success and Support Program (NASSSP) grant student representative and president of the Native Americans of Sierra College (NASC) club. Additionally, he is an SOS Voter’s Choice Act Ambassador, an Umoja and Wonoti Scholar, and is a distinguished member of the Beta Mu Zeta chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society.

Looking ahead, Jacob intends to pursue a baccalaureate degree in political science, followed by enrollment into a Tribal Law program. His ultimate career goal is to serve in a legislative position, with a strong focus on advocating for the repatriation and advancement of rights for Native Americans.

While Jacob is deeply passionate about various political issues, he holds a special dedication to empowering all members within the California Community College (CCC) system. He strives to contribute to policies that ensure higher education is accessible to all students.
