Legislative Coordinator
Claire Densmore joined FACCC in September 2026 as the Legislative Coordinator, where she supports the organization’s legislative and advocacy efforts on behalf of California community college faculty. She brings experience in legislative affairs, public policy, communications, and student advocacy, with a passion for advancing equitable and accessible higher education across California.
Prior to joining FACCC, Claire served in leadership with the Student Senate for California Community Colleges (SSCCC), including as the Region II Legislative Affairs Director. She also gained legislative experience through internships with the Office of Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis and the California State Legislature, where she worked on policy research, legislative advocacy, and constituent services.
Claire earned her Associate in Arts for Transfer in Political Science from Sacramento City College and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at UC Davis, with a minor in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies. Outside of work and school, Claire enjoys ceramics, hiking, and writing.
